PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Introduction

Paint damage does not come from only environmental contaminants or industrial factors. It may come from using the wrong compound for your paint correction. Mild abrasives typically lack sufficient cutting level for heavy defects, while using heavy compounds may generate excessive dust, unstable polishing behaviour, and severe haze formation. Professional correction usually requires a high-cut compound and that’s why the SONAX Profiline CutMax 6:4 (1L)” was designed. It makes use of a highly abrasive polishing system that enables rapid removal of severe paint defects including sanding marks up to P1000 grit, paint overspray, and heavy oxidation.

What the Product Does

This product uses high-performance abrasive particles for aggressive defect removal on paint surfaces experiencing heavy damage or weathering. Deep scratches, oxidation, sanding marks, and overspray are also not left out during polishing cycles as the compound is capable of removing sanding marks up to P1000 grit when used with the appropriate machine and pad combinations. It works on post-wet sanding refinements, paint restoration, and advanced body shop corrections. The Cutmax 6:4 possesses a very high cut with moderate finish, just what you need when dealing with heavy paint defects.

Features

  • Heavy-Cut Abrasive Technology: It has a high-cut abrasive system that delivers aggressive paint correction capability meant to deal with heavy defects. The product is designed to effectively remove deep scratches, oxidation, sanding marks, and overspray residue.
  • P1000 Sanding Mark Removal Capability: The compound corrects sanding marks up to P1000 grit when put into proper use; using the right tools. This supports advanced correction and refinishing processes.
  • Low Dust Technology: When in use, it generates minimal dust thanks to its advanced formulation. This helps reduce residues that are found on the surrounding surface after use.
  • Moderate Gloss Finishing Performance: Despite being a high-cut compound, it maintains a relatively glossy finish. The follow- up refinement stage is easier as there is little haze formation after use.
  • Professional Multi-Stage Compatibility: It integrates well into multi-stage correction systems. After heavy correction, you can follow up with a polisher.

Benefits

  • Maximum Defect Removal Capability: It corrects several paint defects effectively more than medium-cut compounds. Promotes faster removal of heavy paint defects boasting correction efficiency and reducing the time spent in polishing these heavy defects.
  • Improved Paint Surface Uniformity: It levels surface irregularities progressively during polishing sessions. This improves overall surface appearance as paint reflections become clearer and more consistent.
  • Cleaner Working Environment: Less dust means a cleaner working space for all. It minimises airborne residue and panel contamination during polishing sessions.
  • Better Finishing Quality for a Heavy Compound: Its high-cut feature makes it the ideal compound for correcting heavy defects and its compatibility in multi-stage correction improves the chance of a better surface finishing.

How to Use

  • Select the Appropriate Polishing Pad: Select between a hard foam cutting pad or a lambswool pad, depending on the defect.
  • Shake and Apply: Shake the compound to ensure even distribution of abrasive particles throughout the formula. Apply several drops directly onto the polishing pad. Do not apply too many of the products to the pad because it may lead to saturation which in turn increases residue accumulation.
  • Begin Initial Correction Passes: Using moderate pressure, move the machine over the affected areas. Low speed with moderate pressure for about ten seconds, with the machine slightly angled when addressing deeper scratches. Ensure the pad remains flat to improve surface refinement and a glossy look.
  • Remove Residue and Inspect Results: After polishing, wipe off excess residue using a clean microfibre cloth. Inspect carefully for any mistakes or omissions.
  • Clean Pads Regularly: Clean pads frequently after use to maintain consistent correction performance. Do not mix different compounds on the same pad.

FAQ

This product is used for paint correction when dealing with heavy defects like deep scratches, sanding marks, oxidation, and overspray. It makes use of strong abrasives in the leveling of rough surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.

It removes up to P1000 grit when you use it appropriately and with the right tools. This makes it suitable for heavy defects and post-wet sanding correction works.

No. It incorporates a special technology to minimise the spread of residual during polishing. This creates a cleaner environment and cleaner correction work.

Yes. Although not necessary as it produces better gloss, a refining polish is still recommended. This creates maximum surface clarity and gloss enhancement.

Yes. It is silicone-free, ensuring compatibility with repainting and professional refinishing operations. Surface inspection accuracy is maintained after polishing.
